Bloodworks Northwest is teaming up with Big E Ales for Give a Pint, Get a Pint. Through today, blood donors at the Lynnwood donor center, 19723 Highway 99, Suite F, receive a $5 voucher for Big E Ales. They are especially low on A- and O- blood types. Cocoon House receives $25,000 from Boeing employee fund

The Employees Community Fund of Boeing Puget Sound’s Board of Trustees has agreed to award $25,000 to Cocoon House nonprofit in Everett. The approved funds will be used for much needed renovations of Cocoon House’s teen emergency shelter in Everett, which was the first site Cocoon House opened nearly 25 years ago. Renovations at the site will begin this month.

Radio show to host author who aims to make math books more fun

On the next edition of KSER 90.7 FM’s monthly personal finance program Getting Your Dough To Rise, Eugenia Cheng, author of “How To Bake Pi,” will join host Chuck Noel to talk of her crusade to making math more fun via books. Other guests include Matthew Gardner and Rick Genoni. The show is from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

Tulalip Bay Restaurant begins monthly dinners with sustainable ingredients

On the first Sunday of each month beginning this week, Tulalip Bay Restaurant chef Jeremy Taisey will take guests on a local food tour using fresh, sustainable ingredients. The two-hour dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be served at Tulalip Bay’s seasonally decorated communal chef’s table. This June, the main focus is Copper River Salmon. The dinners are priced at $100 per person. The meal cost does not include any additional cocktails, wine, sales tax, or gratuity. Seating is limited to 20 guests.
