Animal shelter seeks public input on fee changes

EVERETT — The Everett Animal Shelter is proposing new fees and is seeking feedback from the public. The fee schedule was last changed in 2011.

Most of the fees are changing, and many of them are rising. For example, licensing and adoption fees are rising for most categories of cats and dogs. Other changes are proposed for impound, reclaim, surrender and euthanasia fees.

A complete list of proposed fee changes can be downloaded from https://everettwa.gov/shelterfeeproposal.

Comments will be taken at the next Animal Shelter Advisory Board meeting, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the shelter, located at 333 Smith Island Road.

Written comments can be submitted to Glynis Frederiksen at Everett Animal Services, 333 Smith Island Road, Everett, WA 98201 or at gfrederiksen@everettwa.gov.
