BECU, car dealerships raise money for Housing Hope

BECU has partnered with 14 Snohomish County car dealerships to support local non-profit Housing Hope and their Generations of Hope Campaign. Throughout the month of May, participating dealerships will donate $10 to the campaign for every test drive made at their dealership. In addition, BECU will donate $50 for every auto loan funded by BECU at the dealer during the campaign.

EvCC Foundation breakfast raises $91,000

The Everett Community College Foundation’s April 26 breakfast raised more than $91,000 to support student scholarships and college programs. More than 475 people attended the breakfast, which featured University of Washington President Ana Mari Cauce as the keynote speaker. The EvCC Foundation provided 170 scholarships and other support to students in 2014-15.

Zogby Poll founder spoke on Islamophobia at UW Bothell

On April 27, John Zogby presented a free public lecture at University of Washington Bothell that was co-sponsored by the chancellor’s office and the UW Bothell American Muslim Research Initiative. The lecture focused on the evolving demographics and minorities in America and historic parallels to Islamophobia. Zogby is founder of the Zogby Poll and Zogby Analytics.
