Snohomish High principal resigns

SNOHOMISH — Beth Porter, principal of Snohomish High School, announced her resignation last week.

In a letter posted on the school’s website, she said she had accepted a job as the director of human resource systems in the Renton School District. She starts the new job on July 1.

Porter has been with the school for 15 years as assistant principal and principal.

“Snohomish is full of wonderful staff, students and community members who continually work together, through both challenging and exciting times,” Porter wrote. “Snohomish is a unique community that I am honored to have been a part of for so long.”

The Snohomish School District is conducting a search for a new principal.
