Providence ranks in top 50 for emergency room visits nationwide

Providence Regional Medical Center Everett’s Colby Campus has ranked at No. 45 out of the Top 50 Hospitals in America with the most annual emergency room visits, for both admitted patients and not admitted patients, by Becker’s Hospital Review. Providence had an estimated 90,400 emergency room visits. The top ranking hospital was Florida Hospital in Orlando at 249,400 visits.

UW Bothell to hold diversity, inclusion conference

The University of Washington Bothell is hosting its second annual Diversity and Inclusion Conference on April 8 in partnership with T-Mobile. In addition to three workshops, students vying for a grant of up to $5,000 aimed at solving a diversity issue will present their proposals in a Shark Tank-like competition. PUD seeks application for solar energy demonstration projects

Snohomish County Public Utility District is seeking applications from local organizations for solar energy demonstration projects for installation on new or existing buildings in the utility’s service area. Edmonds garden club to award scholarship to someone entering horitculture

The Floretum Garden Club of Edmonds will offer a $1,500 scholarship to a high school graduate, a community college student or an individual planning a career in a horticultural field. The funds will be awarded this year and may be applied toward tuition, books and other fees. Application forms are available by contacting JoyceJohnson310@comcast.net. The deadline is May 9.
