MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Detectives continue to review surveillance video in hopes of finding Cheryl DeBoer alive.

The 54-year-old Mountlake Terrace woman has been missing since Monday, when her car was found abandoned at the city’s park-and-ride lot.

“Our hearts are so heavy right now,” police Cmdr. Kevin Pickard told reporters on Friday. “We care about her.”

Friends and family continued to fan out around the transit center to search. Friday’s effort was the largest so far, Pickard said.

Police are thankful for the community’s support as they continue to seek tips — “anything, please,” Pickard said.

He declined to say whether police have any new leads in the case. They have no suspects and no reason to believe DeBoer had any medical issues that may have contributed to her disappearance, he said. They also don’t know whether she got on a bus or not.

“This is a very sensitive investigation,” he said. “We’re looking at all angles right now.”

DeBoer is married and a mother. She works at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.

Her cellphone and credit cards have not been used since Monday. Her white Subaru Legacy was impounded as potential evidence.

Her mother recently shared this message on the “Missing: Cheryl DeBoer” Facebook page: “Our heartfelt gratitude to all you wonderful friends of Cheryl who are tirelessly working to help us find Cheryl! Thanks to the countless prayers on her behalf.”
