Toraya Miller has accepted the position of vice president/branch manager at Coastal Community Bank’s downtown Everett location after serving as the bank’s vice president/internal auditor for nearly seven years. Miller has more than 15 years of experience working in audit and compliance within the financial industry, which led her to develop internal controls and financial best practices for struggling organizations.

Naturopathic doctor opens practice in Snohomish

Archerfriendly Wellness, the private practice of naturopathic doctor Archer Atkins, is now accepting patients. The recently opened practice offers primary care for the whole family including newborn, pediatric and adolescent care. Atkins received her Naturopathic Doctorate degree from Bastyr University. Archerfriendly Wellness is located in the Snohomish Midwifery and Wellness Center, in historic downtown Snohomish.

Bothell company to make drone research lab in New York

Bothell’s EagleView Technology Corporation, a leading technology provider of aerial imagery, data analytics and GIS solutions, announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Pictometry International Corp., has designed and is developing an outdoor netted research lab at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York. The lab will allow for advanced sensor research and flight training on unmanned aerial systems.

Bothell’s OncoGenex announces job cuts

Bothell-based OncoGenex Pharmaceuticals announced it is implementing a plan to reduce operating expenses, including a workforce reduction of approximately 27 percent. As of Dec. 31, the company’s cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments were $55.2 million. Based on current expectations, the company believes that resources will be sufficient to fund currently planned operations into the third quarter of 2017.
