Frontier names new VP-general manager in Everett

Frontier Communications Corporation announced that Chris Lyons was named vice president and general manager of the company’s Washington operation. He will report directly to Melinda White, West Region Area president. Lyons’ primary office will be in Everett. Prior to joining Frontier, Lyons served in several leadership roles at Nexius, Comcast and Charter.

Applied Technical Services named to ‘Best Plants’ list

Applied Technical Services in Everett has been a named a 2015 Best Plants winner by IndustryWeek magazine. The IndustryWeek Best Plants awards program annually recognizes plants located in North America that are on the leading edge of efforts to increase competitiveness, enhance customer satisfaction and create stimulating and rewarding work environments. Winning facilities were profiled in the January 2015 issue of IndustryWeek.

Economic Alliance to host Legislator’s Luncheon

On Tuesday, Economic Alliance Snohomish County will host the annual Snohomish County Legislators’ Luncheon at the Water Street Café in Olympia. Snohomish County construction firm fined

The Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission fined Snohomish County excavator Steve Ruhnke Construction $2,500 for violating the state’s call before you dig law multiple times in one year. One of those failure to call, on an installation project in Lacey on July 2, 2015, damaged a utility-service line. State law requires a call to 811 prior to digging. That service is free to the caller.

Muscular Dystrophy Association moves to Mountlake Terrace

On Jan. 11, The Muscular Dystrophy Association Western Washington moved to Mountlake Terrace from the South Lake Union location where it had been for eight years. The new office space will offer improved family support and decreased overhead so that more funds goes directly towards research, services and support for those with ALS, Muscular Dystrophy and other related muscle diseases.
