Front Porch: Musicians needed

The Lake Stevens Arts Commission is taking applications for bands interested in performing at the Music on the Lake series this summer. The concerts are at 7 p.m. every Thursday in July. Performers receive a stipend. Auditions can be submitted as CDs or web links. They are due by Feb. 10. Drop off audition CDs and band information at 1812 Main St., mail them to PO Box 257, Lake Stevens, WA 98258 or email lsarts@lakestevenswa.gov.

Grand Avenue Bridge open house: An informational meeting on Everett’s Grand Avenue Park Bridge project will be held 5:30-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, in the Weyerhaeuser Room of Everett Station. City staff and design consultants will be on hand to explain details of the project, take comments and answer questions.

The Grand Avenue Park Bridge will cross over BNSF tracks and Highway 529, connecting the Grand Avenue Park bluff to a landing point on West Marine View Drive. Construction is scheduled to begin this year and be completed in 2017.

State of Mukilteo: The public is invited to hear Mukilteo Mayor Jennifer Gregerson present the State of the City address scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday . The event is at Mukilteo City Hall, 11930 Cyrus Way. Call 425-263-8000 for information.

Learn CPR in Lynnwood: The Lynnwood Fire Department will offer a free CPR training class from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Alderwood Mall food court. Attendees will learn life-saving resuscitation techniques. There also will be free blood pressure checks.
