Body found in Sky River thought to be Monroe woman

MONROE — Police believe they have found the body of a missing Monroe-area woman.

Marianne Humble, 53, was last seen Monday near her home along High Bridge Road, between Monroe and Maltby.

A woman’s body was found late Wednesday in the Skykomish River near Humble’s home. Confirmation of identity is pending an autopsy by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.

“The search and rescue team will be out in the area searching for and gathering evidence and major crimes detectives continue to investigate Humble’s disappearance,” sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
