Everett shooting victim identified

EVERETT — A man killed in an Everett home last month has been identified.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner said the man is Martin Guzman-Garrido, 43.

He died of gunshot wounds.

His body was found early Dec. 21 in the kitchen of a home in the 4100 block of Colby Avenue. He had been shot multiple times.

An Arlington man and Lake Stevens woman were arrested as a part of the investigation.

The man, 22, was arrested for investigation of being a felon with a firearm. He also is accused of a violating a protection order in a different case.

The pair is accused of breaking into her sister’s house earlier this month and stealing a handgun.

Witnesses told Everett police that fatal shooting occurred when Guzman-Garrido and the other man got into an argument and both drew guns.
