Hear Marysville musician at EP release party Friday

It’s been six years since her band came into existence, and now Jess Lambert is ready to put something out into the world.

In 2010, Lambert, of Marysville, sold some demos that she had burned to a CD, but it wasn’t until recently that Lambert finally released her first official recorded project: “Creature of Fear,” an EP.

“The EP is here! I’m so happy to finally be able to share these songs with you,” Lambert wrote in a statement to her fans. “… I’ve been writing and performing my music for a while now, but this is the first project I’m sending out into the world. In many ways, this is just the beginning.”

On Oct. 2, Lambert is teaming up with the Everett Music Initiative to celebrate the release of “Creature of Fear” with a party at the Bluewater Distilling cocktail bar, 1205 Craftsman Way, Everett. Lambert will be joined by Seattle band Planes on Paper.

“Creature of Fear” can be purchased on iTunes or Bandcamp.com. A physical copy of “Creature of Fear” can be purchased at the release party.

The show begins at 8 p.m. and entry is $5.
