ARLINGTON — An Arlington-area woman, 61, is recovering after being shot by her husband at their home Saturday.
The man, 63, shot himself in the head hours later and died, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Wednesday.
There is no new information from the investigation, the sheriff’s office said.
Police were called to the home on Highway 9 north of Arlington just after 5 p.m. The woman was rushed to a hospital.
A SWAT team spent most of the evening trying to get the man to surrender. At about 11:30 p.m., they heard a single gunshot from inside the house.
