Two day aerospace and defense conference in May at JBLM

The Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance is hosting an aerospace and defense conference in late May at Joint Base Lewis McChord near Tacoma.

The two-day symposium, which is being organized in partnership with the Pacific Northwest Defense Coalition, will cover new developments and business opportunities in the industry sector.

Rep. Adam Smith, the ranking Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee, will address the conference.

J.J. Gertler of the Congressional Research Service, a non-partisan federal agency, will talk about what is coming for military spending and priorities.

Fred Smith, director of business development with Boeing Military Aircraft’s Mobility, Surveillance and Engagement Division, will deliver the keynote address.

More information about the agenda and how to register is available at PNAA’s website. The symposium runs May 27 and 28.

PNAA’s executive of the year, Mike Brown of Aero-Plastics is speaking at a breakfast hosted by the group on May 6 in Renton.

PNAA is an industry-advocacy group promoting aerospace in the Pacific Northwest.
