Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said earlier in the week at the NFL Annual Meetings that the Seahawks were close to re-signing defensive lineman Demarcus Dobbs, and the deal appears to now be done, with Dobbs’ agent Tweeting that his client has signed a one-year deal to stay in Seattle.
Congrats to client, DL Demarcus Dobbs, for signing a 1-year contract with the @Seahawks today. @andysimms #PlayersRep

The Seahawks claimed Dobbs off of waivers after San Francisco let him go in November, and he showed flashes as an interior pass rusher in nickel packages, but then missed three games with an ankle injury. He returned to action for the playoffs, helping mitigate the loss of Jordan Hill. Dobbs appeared in four regular-season games with the Seahawks and registered 6 tackles, then had 3 tackles in three postseason games.
