EVERETT — Economic Alliance Snohomish County wants to know which business and community leaders to recognize at its annual meeting on May 14.

The alliance presents two awards each year: the Henry M. Jackson Citizen of the Year Award and the John M. Fluke, Sr. Community Leader Award.

The Jackson Citizen of the Year Award was established in 1977 to honor people who are civic and business leaders. Everett Mayor Ray Stephanson received the award last year in part for his efforts to bring Boeing’s 777X line to the city and for his efforts in attracting Washington State University to the area.

The Fluke Community Leader Award was created in 1970 to recognize community leaders who have demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit. Last year’s recipient was Greg Hoff, a Woodway real estate broker who owns several Windermere offices.

Nominations can be submitted online at www.surveymonkey.com/s/ZD5WFN9.

The Herald Business Journal will present its 2015 Executive and Entrepreneur of the Year awards. The awards recognize dedicated private- or public-sector individuals who excel in business, community involvement and support Snohomish County’s economic development.
