Food safety awards to be given to nine establishments

The Snohomish Health District plans to award nine food establishments with its annual Food Safety Excellence Awards.

The awards recognize those in food service who not only meet minimum standards, but typically stand out within their industry.

The event is scheduled for 3 p.m. today at the Snohomish Health District Auditorium, 3020 Rucker Ave., 1st Floor, Everett.

This year’s recipients by category are:

  • Full Menu (less than 50 seats) — #1 Teriyaki in Arlington;
  • Full Menu (greater than 50 seats) — Golden Corral Steak House, Marysville
  • Fast Service — AJ’s Burgers, Marysville
  • Limited Menu — Grocery Outlet, Marysville
  • Grocery Store — Costco, Everett
  • Industrial/Institutional/Camps – Boeing 54-11 EBC, Everett
  • School — Marysville-Pilchuck High School, Marysville
  • Temporary Food Establishment – Huckleberry Corn Company, Mill Creek
  • Restaurant Chain – Anthony’s Restaurants, multiple locations
