Economic Group’s ambassador committee elected

The 2015 Economic Alliance Snohomish County Ambassador Committee Board has been elected. Becky Mulhollen of Wallick and Volk is board chair. Bill Buckman of The Buckman Consulting Group is scribe. Tracy Chambers of Perteet Engineering is volunteer coordinator. Jennifer Lundberg of Hascal, Sjoholm &Company is treasurer. Rhonda Bradley of Opus Bank is in charge of recruitment.

Rotary members volunteer at food bank

Rotary Club of Everett volunteers, including four new club members, met last month to separate and bag 14 cases of potatoes, four cases of rice and one case of beans for the Volunteers of America Food Bank on Broadway in Everett. This was the latest of several Rotary initiatives to help with the VOA’s food delivery.

Cosmetologists to help women suffering from cancer

Look Good, Feel Better is a workshop by trained cosmetologists who teach women how to cope with skin changes and hair loss. It is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 23 at Skagit Valley Hospital Regional Cancer Care Center’s Safeway Conference Room at 307 S. 13th St., Mount Vernon. Open house to discuss Edmonds Westgate traffic improvements

Information on the Highway 104 study, especially related to transportation facilities for the Westgate area, will be presented at an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 25 in the Brackett Room of Edmonds City Hall. An oral summary will be given about 6 p.m. Issues for Highway 104 include traffic levels, safety, and pedestrian and bicycle access.

Everett Clinic to offer Alzheimer’s caregiver support meetings

The Alzheimer’s Association family caregiver support group meetings are held from 10:30 a.m. to noon on the fourth Friday of the month at The Everett Clinic Smokey Point, 2901 174th St. NE, Smokey Point. Barnes &Noble to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday

Barnes &Noble Alderwood will celebrate Read Across America with a family story time at 7 p.m. March 2 at 19401 Alderwood Mall Parkway, Lynnwood. In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, the stories will be “Cat in the Hat” and “Green Eggs and Ham.” Participants are welcome to come in costume or in pajamas.
