MARYSVILLE — A 39-year-old man was killed Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle.
The accident happened just before 3 a.m. in the 4700 block of 88th Street NE. A woman, 54, was driving eastbound on 88th Street NE. The man reportedly was kneeling in the roadway, facing away from oncoming traffic, Marysville police Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux said.
Just before the man was struck he raised up but the driver was unable to stop.
The Marysville man died at the scene. His identity was not released pending further investigation by the Snohomish County medical examiner.
Detectives don’t believe the woman was impaired. It was unclear Sunday why the man was in the road.
