Roundtable discussion planned on transportation

Emergency management director honored

Snohomish County deputy director of emergency management Jason Biermann was approved by the North American Application Review Commission to receive the Certified Emergency Manager credential. The designation is the highest honor of professional achievement available from the International Association of Emergency Managers. Recipients must maintain certification with additional training.

United Way needs volunteers for several committees

United Way of Snohomish County is looking for volunteers to serve on several internal committees. Volunteers are currently needed to serve on the Board of Directors, Community Matters Vision Council, Endowment and Planned Giving Committee, Families Matter Vision Council, Forward Looking Committee, Kids Matter Vision Council, Marketing and Public Policy Committees. Greenhouse gas rule changes proposed

Proposed changes to Washington’s existing greenhouse gas reporting rule will update existing processes that save time and money for businesses who report greenhouse gases. The rule is available for review on Ecology’s website or in person at Ecology Headquarters, 300 Desmond Drive, Lacey. People also can request a mailed copy of the plan by calling 360-407-7528.
