Woodard Insurance broker named president of Lions Club in Everett

Lee A. Woodard of The Woodard Insurance Agency was recently inducted as president of the Everett Central Lions Club. He will serve for two years. The club meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays at noon except for July and August when they meet on the fourth Wednesday only. For more information call, 425-328-4535.

Marysville councilwoman reappointed to state health board

Gov. Jay Inslee reappointed Marysville City Councilwoman Donna Wright to another three-year term as a member of the Washington State Board of Health. Wright served as a member of the Snohomish Health District Board of Directors from 1995 to 1999 and from 2002 to present.

Suite remodel with Monroe’s Canyon Creek Cabinets honored

A master suite remodel featuring cabinets by Monroe-based Canyon Creek Cabinet Company was recently given an award from the Building Industry Association of Washington in the category of Bath Excellence $40K to $75K. The award-winning project was designed by Catherine Schmidt of Chermak Construction in Edmonds. The cabinets are from Canyon Creek’s Millennia frameless cabinetry line.

Applebee’s raises money to fight pediatric cancer

This month, for the 10th consecutive year, Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill &Bar franchisees will support Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a pediatric cancer research organization. With a record $756,000 raised in 2013, and more than $4 million raised since 2005, more than 850 Applebee’s restaurants nationwide will work toward topping the $5 million mark in 2014.
