The Boeing Co. rolled the 1,000th Everett-built 777 off the production line late Tuesday.

The aircraft, which will be delivered to Emirates early next month, was towed a couple bays down the way for a few more days of work at the factory. It will be sent across the way for painting soon.

Boeing started assembly of the 1,000th 777 back in November.

The milestone has been recognized by the Port of Everett, which receives and handles parts for Boeing's 777 jets.

Emirates, the largest customer of Boeing 777s, will begin flying 777s out of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on March 1.
