Motorcyclist injured in collision in Everett

EVERETT — Detectives with the Everett Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit are investigating a motorcycle crash that sent a man to the hospital with serious injuries Tuesday night.

The collision occurred around 9:30 p.m. near Highway Place and Evergreen Way, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said.

The injured motorcyclist was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

Police believe the man was southbound on Evergreen Way when his motorcycle collided with a Ford Explorer as it was leaving a business. The SUV was driven by an Everett woman. She was not hurt and stayed on the scene, Snell said.

“Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be a factor in the collision, but speed may have been,” Snell said.

Evergreen Way was shut down during the investigation.
