New sex education materials available for review

EVERETT — Everett Public Schools is proposing to use new sexual health instructional materials for sixth- through 12th-graders starting in the fall of 2016.

The materials will be on display for public review and comment from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Community Resource Center, 3900 Broadway in Everett.

This is the standard district process when it adopts new instructional materials for its curricula.

People will be able to leave written comments and questions on the materials at the time.

The materials review team will compile the feedback as part of its recommendation to superintendent Gary Cohn.
