Girl who was struck, killed by car in Everett identified

EVERETT — A girl who died May 7 after being struck by a car south of Everett has been identified by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.

Maimuna Bayo, 7, died from blunt force injuries that Saturday evening, the medical examiner’s office reported. Her death was ruled an accident.

The incident occurred at about 5:50 p.m. May 7 along 111th Street SE.

Bystanders performed CPR on the girl before paramedics arrived. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with detectives from the sheriff’s collision-investigation unit.

Maimuna was a first-grade student at Olivia Park Elementary School, according to Mukilteo School District records.
