Police seek suspect in downtown Everett bank robbery

EVERETT — Police are investigating a Tuesday afternoon bank robbery in downtown Everett.

The holdup was reported around 4:15 p.m. at the Opus Bank in the 2800 block of Colby Avenue.

The suspect was described as black and in his mid 30s to early 40s. He wore sunglasses, a green jacket and blue jeans.

The man handed a teller a note demanding money, Everett police Sgt. Maryjane Hacker said. He did not show a weapon.

A police dog could not find him after following his trail about a half block east on Hewitt Avenue.
