Custody dispute sparks brief stand-off in Marysville

MARYSVILLE — A 35-year-old man was arrested Friday after a brief stand-off in Marysville.

The incident was sparked by a custody dispute involving the man’s children, according to a Marysville Police Department post on Twitter. The children, both under 3, were unhurt and returned to their mother.

The incident happened just before noon at a home along 54th Drive. The police activity caused a lockdown at nearby Marysville Pilchuck High School.

The man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of felony harassment, Cmdr. Jeff Goldman said.
