Everett’s Coastal Bank reports increase in profit
Everett-headquartered Coastal Financial has announced a significant earnings milestone with $1.1 million of net income for the first quarter of 2016. The growth in revenue represents a 42-percent increase over the same period last year while Coastal’s assets grew to $644.8 million compared to $518.3 million during the same period.

Skagit Bank adds new VP, commercial loan officer in Everett
Skagit Bank announced that Jim Calderon has joined the company as a new vice president and commercial loan officer at its Everett Loan Production office. Calderon has lived in Snohomish County for 20 years and has 38 years of experience in the banking industry, more specifically in the commercial appraisal and management profession.
Fitness centers gather food for Nourishing Network
In the month of May, Experience Momentum’s 4030 CrossFit, Lynnwood CrossFit, Edmonds CrossFit, CrossFit Industrious, and CrossFit Paramount are collaboratively working together to raise as much food as possible to benefit the Nourishing Network program. The program helps feed homeless children in the Edmonds School District. Donations can be dropped off for this food drive at any of the participating locations.
State cautions people to check on movers
The Utilities and Transportation Commission and Better Business Bureau serving Western Washington remind consumers to be cautious when hiring a moving company. Movers doing business in Washington must have a permit from UTC in order to legally provide residential moving services. Consumers who hire an illegal moving company have little or no recourse if their belongings are damaged, lost or stolen.
