Motorcyclist dies in crash near Maltby

MALTBY — A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday afternoon after colliding with another vehicle on Paradise Lake Road.

The crash was reported around 1 p.m. A Snohomish County sheriff’s deputy attempted to revive the motorcyclist, who died at the scene, spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.

His age and hometown were not released Tuesday.

The driver of the other vehicle wasn’t hurt and was cooperating with detectives. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by sheriff’s collision detectives.

The road was expected to be closed between 102nd Avenue SE and 232nd Street SE for several hours.
