Boeing working on KC-46 tanker fix

Boeing is working on a hardware and software fix for a lingering problem with the KC-46 tanker’s aerial refueling system, reports Flightglobal.

The problem has prevented the tanker from refueling a C-17 cargo plane, as required by the U.S. Air Force. That has, in turn, delayed the Pentagon’s approval of the tanker’s production design. Boeing has already begun making tankers at a low-rate. Until the Air Force approves the production design, Boeing will have to pay for any necessary changes.
