Marysville Tulalip chamber to host mega-mixer for all county chambers

The Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce is hosting a megamixer for chambers of commerce from all over Snohomish County is planned from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Marysville Opera House, 1225 Third St., Marysville. Members from more than 10 chambers are expected to attend. The event will include networking games — bring more than 50 business cards — door prizes and more. YMCA raises record $1.4 million in annual campaign

Each year the YMCA of Snohomish County, through its six branch operations and Big Brothers Big Sisters affiliate, conducts its Annual Campaign to raise funds. As of March 31, a total of $1.4 million was raised, the most ever raised in the history of the annual campaign. Donations are still being accepted to support these critical community services at ymca-snoco.org/donate.

Secretary of State: Business Compliance Division postcards unofficial

Businesses and corporations are warned about a postcard sent from Business Compliance Division, 170 S. Lincoln, Spokane, WA, 99201. It looks official but these postcards do not come from the Office of Secretary of State or any other government agency. Do not confuse these with the real annual report postcards sent by the Office of Secretary of State, or letters by the Business Licensing Service.

Qualstar Credit Union, Puget Sound Federal merge

On April 19, members of Puget Sound Federal Credit Union, a $16 million credit union with 2,000 members, approved a merger with Qualstar Credit Union, a $422 million credit union with 58,000 members. The vote was overwhelmingly in favor of the merger and will go into effect on May 31. Renton-headquartered Qualstar has a branch in Everett.
