Minor injuries as 2 skydivers miss drop zone in Snohomish

SNOHOMISH — Two skydivers suffered minor injuries when they missed their drop zone Sunday, landing along the Snohomish River.

Rescuers reached the pair — a skydiving instructor and student. No serious injuries were reported, said Elaine Harvey with Skydive Snohomish. The instructor works for the skydiving company.

“The parachutes were fully functional,” she said.

The pair jumped over Harvey Field near Snohomish. Harvey said she did not immediately know why they missed landing at the airport.
