Woman found in wooded area of Woodway died of hypothermia

WOODWAY — A woman whose body was found in the woods March 3 died of hypothermia, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.

Amy E. Kennelly, 48, was found in a wooded area in the 11000 block of Algonquin Road.

“The cause of death is hypothermia with a contributing condition of prescription drug intoxication,” the medical examiner reported.

The manner of death was determined to be an accident.

Kennelly’s car was found first. It had damage from apparently striking a garage door, police said.
