EVERETT — The Boeing Co.’s 787 final assembly line in Everett has been busier than usual this month. It is on track to roll out seven airplanes in April, two more than its previous rate.

The increase will take overall 787 production from 10 to 12 airplanes a month ahead of schedule. Boeing officials previously have said the company would increase production around mid-2016.

Boeing officials declined to comment on Monday.

Boeing’s South Carolina plant increased its production rate from three to five a month this year.

The head of Norwegian Air Shuttle said Monday the airline is considering ordering more 787 Dreamliners now that U.S. regulators approved transatlantic flights by its Irish subsidiary, Reuters reported.

Boeing had 746 unfilled 787 orders at the end of March, according to its website.
