RE/MAX honors Lynnwood real estate agent
Renee Comey, with RE/MAX Elite in Lynnwood, has been presented with the RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award which honors successful agents who have earned more than $1 million in commissions during their careers with the company. Less than 23 percent of all RE/MAX Affiliates have earned this award. Comey was also recipient of the RE/MAX Chairman’s Award in 2015.
EdCC recognizes Boeing’s commitment to students, higher ed
The Edmonds Community College Board of Trustees has recognized Boeing for its support of EdCC Foundation’s scholarships and emergency student assistance programs along with the company’s commitment to student success by hiring EdCC graduates. Boeing, which is celebrating its centennial year, annually donates $53 million in the areas of education, health and human services, arts and culture, environment, and civic engagement.
Tech Expo planned at EdCC
Learn about cracking passwords and the internal workings of a hard drive at the second annual Technology Exposition from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 2 at Edmonds Community College. The free event will feature hands-on labs that cover Web application development, computer forensics, capturing network traffic, designing computer networks, using virtual machines and diagnosing hard drive problems. Larsen supports STEM bill
Rep. Rick Larsen has announced his support for a new bill that encourages more women and minorities to enter STEM (Science, Technology, Math, and Engineering) fields. He is an original cosponsor of the Women and Minorities in STEM Booster Act, which sets up a competitive grant program for colleges, universities and nonprofit organizations to develop creative ways to recruit more women and minorities into science, technology, engineering and math.
