An auction for the 33 remaining Haggen stores in the Pacific Northwest has been postponed again.
The auction was scheduled for Monday, but has been delayed until March 11, according to court documents filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware.
The auction is still planned to be held in the law offices of Stroock &Stroock &Lavan in New York City.
The postponements have been made for potential buyers to refine their bids, an unnamed source told The News Tribune a week ago.
The Bellingham-based Haggen filed for bankruptcy after buying 146 stores across the West as part of the Albertsons-Safeway merger last year.
The chain sold or closed dozens of those stores, and is also being required to explore selling all of its operations, including its core profitable stores.
An auction was initially scheduled for early January, but the hearing has been delayed several times.
