Bothell woman killed in U.S. 2 crash near Stevens Pass

STEVENS PASS — A 20-year-old Bothell woman was killed Thursday in a head-on crash on U.S. 2.

A Chevrolet Tahoe and a Mazda collided just before 9 a.m. about five miles west of Stevens Pass, said trooper Mark Francis of the Washington State Patrol. As of noon, traffic was partially blocked. Drivers should expect significant delays.

The Bothell woman was a passenger in the Tahoe, Francis said. The Tahoe driver was taken to a local hospital, as was a passenger in the Mazda.

No other injuries were reported. The investigation continues.
