Man fatally shot at north Everett home

EVERETT – Everett police detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred overnight.

Just before 11:45 p.m. Sunday, officers received a report of shots fired in the 4100 block of Colby Avenue. They arrived to find a man who had been fatally shot inside the home, officials said.

The area was searched but no suspects were found.

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene to interview possible witnesses, process evidence and develop suspect information.

In an early morning press release, the police department reported that it had not identified a suspect or a motive for the shooting.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s is expected to determine cause and manner of death and establish identity of the victim.
