Everett man, 52, dies of natural causes in Skagit County jail

MOUNT VERNON — An inmate has died at Skagit County jail. The sheriff’s office has asked the Mount Vernon police to investigate the death but they say the 52-year-old Everett man had a history of heart disease and died of natural causes.

Mount Vernon Police Lt. Chris Cammock told The Skagit Valley Herald there’s nothing to indicate the man died of anything other than natural causes.

The man had been held in the Skagit County jail since Aug. 6.
