LAKE STEVENS — A man remains in jail for a Nov. 12 shooting in Lake Stevens.

He was being held Tuesday on $50,000 bail for investigation of second-degree domestic violence assault, according to Lake Stevens police.

The shooting happened about 6 p.m. near the McDonald’s at Frontier Village. A husband and wife who are going through a divorce were having a custody exchange of their two children, both younger than 5, detective Dean Thomas said.

Witnesses saw the man firing a gun in the woman’s direction. Reports varied on whether he was trying to hit her. No one was injured. He was arrested and booked.
