Woman sought in Yakima death arrested in Oregon

HILLSBORO, Ore. — A homeless woman wanted in a fatal shooting in Washington state has been arrested in North Plains, Oregon.

Detective Sgt. Mike Russell of the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office says Raven Cutler, 33, was arrested Monday at McDonald’s after police in Oregon got a tip. She was booked into jail on a murder warrant.

Russell told The Oregonian that Cutler was wanted in the killing of Norma Emmerson, a 54-year-old Yakima woman whose body was found Nov. 11. She had been shot three times in the head.

Russell said the women were acquaintances, but wouldn’t disclose a possible motive.
