SAO PAULO — Two executives of Brazil’s second-biggest private bank have been killed in a jet crash.

Bradesco Bank identified those killed as insurance division chief Marco Rossi and Lucio Oliveira, who was head of the bank’s pensions unit.

The unnamed pilot and co-pilot were also killed in the late Tuesday crash in the central Brazilian state of Goias. The jet had taken off from Brasilia and was heading to Sao Paulo.

Authorities are investigating the crash. As yet they do not know why it went down about 25 minutes into its flight.

Footage aired on national TV and images taken by firefighters responding to the crash showed a deep crater in a rural field and what appeared to be part of the plane ablaze.
