Construction under way on Shadowood development

SNOHOMISH — A Puyallup developer has opened a model home and started construction on 24 other houses in the planned Shadowood development.

In all, RM Homes plans to build 82 homes in the development near the intersection of Bickford Avenue and Weaver Road.

“We are seeing a great market in Snohomish County, and the town of Snohomish in particular,” said Chaun Mackey of marketing firm Matrix Real Estate, in a statement. “Buyers get more home on larger lots than in nearby cities like Bothell. Plus people love the rural, small-town atmosphere and great schools in Snohomish.”

The Shadowood development is surrounded on three sides by Native Growth Protection Area, offering mature trees and trails.

Homes will be built in a variety of two- and three-level plans ranging from 1,576- to 2,548-square-feet with three and four bedrooms and attached two-car garages.

Homes are priced between about $360,000 to the mid $400,000. The model home is open for tours from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 2182 Cady Drive, Snohomish. For more information, call Doug Gordon at 425.286.4883 or visit www.rmhomes.com.
