Former Sparling CEO joins Perteet board

Jim Duncan, who spent more than 15 years as CEO of Sparling Inc. is now part of the board of directors for Perteet, the Everett based engineering, planning and surveying firm. Duncan served as CEO of Sparling, Inc from 1991 to 2006 and grew the firm from 30 to 140 people to become one of the largest electrical engineering and technology consulting firms in the nation.

Skagit Regional Health CEO heads hospital association

Gregg Davidson, superintendent and CEO of Skagit Regional Health, has been elected chair of the Washington State Hospital Association. As chair, Davidson will preside over the Board of Trustees and lead the hospital association’s work for the coming year. Davidson has served as superintendent and chief executive officer of Skagit Regional Health since 2003.

Stocker Farms raises money for pediatric cancer research

Stocker Farms in Snohomish is raising money for pediatric cancer research with a corn maze honoring the Strong Against Cancer organization. The 10-acre maze located 1/4 mile west of Harvey Airfield in Snohomish is open to the public now through Oct. 31. A portion of the admission price for the maze goes directly to immunotherapy research.

Training offered for health, human service workers

The Human Services Council of Snohomish County will host a four-hour professional development training geared for health and human service workers. Topics include reducing stress and how to handle difficult clients and de-escalate challenging situations.
