Boeing: Bigger Seattle Delivery Center key to 737 work

SEATTLE — Boeing is celebrating the opening of an expanded Seattle Delivery Center, which it says will allow it to increase its production of its workhouse 737 airplane.

The aerospace giant says the 90,000-square foot facility will help it ramp up its delivery rate of 737s from 42 a month to 52 a month in 2018.

The formal opening ceremony was Monday.
