Canyon Creek Cabinet expands in Monroe

MONROE — Canyon Creek Cabinet Co. started construction last month on a 26,000-square-foot addition to the south end of its manufacturing plant.

The new project, expected to be complete in the first quarter 2016, will be mostly warehousing space for the privately held business at 16726 Tye St SE, Monroe.

When it’s finished, Canyon Creek Cabinet’s manufacturing plant will be 285,000-square-feet total.

“We are excited to expand our building because it will go a long way toward meeting the growing demand for our product lines,” Bill Weaver, Canyon Creek’s president and CEO, said in a statement “We’ll continue to invest in new technology, more efficient equipment and exceptional staff to ensure that we bring our customers new products and services.”

The new warehouse space is the first step in a multi-year plan to reconfigure the factory to accommodate sales growth and improve efficiency.

The company declined to state how much the project will cost.

Canyon Creek Cabinet Company opened in 1981 and makes what “affordable, custom frameless and framed style cabinetry for every room in the home.”

The company sells cabinets mainly to kitchen and bath dealers and contractors throughout the Puget Sound area.
