New hire at Sound Urological in Edmonds

Courtney Shick has joined Sound Urological Associates in Edmonds. Shick completed her undergraduate work at University of Montana and received her Masters in Physician Assistant Sciences from Des Moines University in Iowa. She practices general urology and looks forward to seeing new patients. Sound Urological Associates is located at 21822 76th Ave. West, Edmonds.

Grant aims to customize employee training programs

The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges has awarded $1.75 million in matching grants for customized employee training programs for local businesses. The grants were awarded through the Job Skills Training Program, a dollar-for-dollar matching grant program. Community and technical colleges, including Cascadia College in Bothell, will deliver training to new or current employees at the work site or in a classroom.

Laughing Buddha to offer free Friday night yoga classes

Laughing Buddha Yoga Studio is offering free Friday night yoga classes from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The business, located at 17624 15th Ave. SE, No. 111A, Mill Creek, is owned by Dawn Torres. Monroe Materials to offer U-Haul service

Monroe Materials, at 313 N. Lewis Street in Monroe, has signed on as a U-Haul neighborhood dealer to serve the Monroe community. The business will now offer U-Haul trucks, trailers, towing equipment and support rental items Tuesday through Sunday. Monroe Materials is owned by Cori Deane.
