Weekend avenue closure planned Oct. 9-11 in Marysville

MARYSVILLE — The north end of State Avenue will be closed the weekend of Oct. 9-11 so a BNSF Railway crew can make track improvements on a spur where it crosses the roadway.

The work, which is related to the city’s project to widen State Avenue, will entail closing the road between 116th Street NE and 136th Street NE between 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9, and 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11.

Drivers will be detoured onto 34th Avenue NE and Quil Ceda Boulevard west of I-5.

Local traffic will be able to use State Avenue to get to shopping centers or neighborhoods, but drivers will not be able to go through the work zone.
