House Hope adds two senior managers

Local non-profit Housing Hope announced appointments to two new senior management positions. Tricia Baran was named the director of finance and Kelsey Taylor was appointed the director of resource development. Baran is a certified public accountant and has 17 years of industry experience. Taylor has been with Housing Hope for four years as the events and marketing manager.

Bookstore aims to support Edmonds Schools Foundation

Barnes &Noble Alderwood is partnering with the Edmonds Schools Foundation during their Oct. 2 Fun Run and running a book fair in the store to benefit school programs. Grant to help adults, youths with disabilities get jobs

The Washington Employment Security Department will receive nearly $2.5 million in federal funding to improve employment opportunities for adults and youth with disabilities. The money is being awarded as part of the Disability Employment Initiative. The grants will help fund services provided by the Snohomish and King Workforce Development Councils, community colleges in Snohomish and King counties and other agencies.
