Two join Snohomish County tourism board

Kerri Lonergan-Dreke and Brian Davern have been appointed to the board of directors of the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau for three-year terms, effective Oct. 1. Lonergan-Dreke is an owner and manager of Lombardi’s Italian Restaurant in Everett with 28 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Davern has been a recreation coordinator for the city of Mill Creek for eight years and holds a degree in recreation and tourism.

Financial planners to appear on Getting Your Dough to Rise show

The next Getting Your Dough To Rise, KSER 90.7 FM and KXIR 89.9 FM’s monthly personal finance show with Chuck Noel, is from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Guests include Lyn Peters from Washington State Department of Financial Institutions, Kathryn Garrison from Financial Planning Association of Puget Sound and Rick Genoni of investment firm Legg Mason. Snohomish County hotels see growth in revenue, decline in occupancy

Snohomish County hotels were down in occupancy in August, but up in average daily rate and revenue per available room for that month, according to the Smith Travel Research report. Statewide, only King and Clark counties outperformed Snohomish County in occupancy. Year-to-date, Snohomish County hotels are down in occupancy 3 percent.
